God gives us a list of nine fruits or characteristics of the Spirit. This list is found in Galatians 5:23, 24: “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.”   These characteristics are the description of a “nice” person. This sort of person makes a good friend.

The same chapter describes for us a person who is not so nice. Verses 19 – 21 are these, “Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are [these]; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told [you] in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.”  Strangely enough, most people revel in these behaviors. Judging by the behavior of many people, these things must be a lot of pleasure. Why shouldn’t people be within their rights to commit fornication or adultery if they want to? It doesn’t matter that other people suffer? If somebody would gain pleasure from killing another person, why shouldn’t they be allowed to? We’re all just a sort of monster – I don’t say “animal” because I don’t wish to offend my dog.

The first list demands that people be unselfish. Love is not lust. It is the opposite of lust. Love is probably the most self-sacrificing behavior there is. Love calls on people to sacrifice themselves for the benefit of others.. Love is a discipline. It demands that the well-being of others always be put before our own. Longsuffering demands that we be patient when we want to do violence to some dumb ninny who drives us up the wall. Gentleness would never allow a man to slap his wife across the mouth, no matter how badly she has behaved.

If man evolved without the power of God, he might have evolved with moral traits, but it is much more likely that he would have been concerned with his self survival more than anything else. If a man is more interested in his own survival more than anything else, we are left to conclude that he would do whatever would be necessary for him to eat every day – kill, steal, lie, deceive – sounds more like modern man all the time. If a man spends the whole day searching for food, when will he have time and energy to gaze through a microscope, of study a book?

What about man’s environment. Can we believe that the earth would have evolved tides, tillable soil? Suppose those things evolved just right, how would he have ears to hear the wind? There are so many questions and unknowns about these matters that the chances of them all happening together is staggering. Carl Sagan said, “The information contents of a simple cell has been established as around one trillion bits, comparable to about 110 million pages of the Encyclopedia Britannica.” (“Creation in a Basket” Tom Wagner; “Creation ex Nihilo” Vol. 17, No. 2; March – May 1995. Dr. Richard Dawkins, (Department of Zoology, Oxford University, U. K.), “The more statistically improbable a thing is, the less can we believe that it just happened by blind chance. Specifically, the obvious alternative to chance is an intelligent designer.”

 I have at least three more such statements in my notebook (Chittick , Jastrow, and Cain) that I have collected over the years. Anyone reading this essay will likely know of many more. The statistics, no matter how they are formulated, make the possibility of Evolution so “utterly miniscule” that the notions from Darwin’s dark mind can be discarded with contempt. What are the odds that God created the universe? One in one. The cosmos is the product of a sovereign power that was able to speak it into existence. The idea that the systems of the universe, plus plant life, animal life, and human life with all its moral and physical complexities could have come together at the same time is beyond comprehension. Unless you dismiss all this designed complexity by declaring that “it’s (Evolution) a fact!” Like all those who hold to a man-made religion, Evolutionists are doomed to face an angry God.

It amazes me what I am finding on the internet. On the subject of evolution the most outstanding thing is the complete lack of documentation or evidence given for what people write for the attention of others.

Psalm 104 is another in our study of the psalms having in them references to the creation. In this psalm there is a verse which evolutionists have used to prove their assertions that the Bible teaches that the sky overhead is a metal canopy, or a canopy of some other material. Verse 2 says, “Who coverest thyself with light as with a garment: who stretchest out the heavens like a curtain.“ The Bible is at once a book for the simple and the scholar alike, but it seems to me like that statement could be made of many books which are well written and have substance. Shakespeare is studied by high school children as well as the post graduate student, and their teachers. All the various elements of good writing are found in Shakespeare: metaphors, irony, metonyms, and other types. The Bible, more so, is a literary product of supreme excellence, using all the various elements of good writing. Though the Bible was written for the simple and the unlearned, it seems obvious that the more educated one is, the more he can glean from it.

 Of course, we understand and appreciate what the writer is saying. It is necessary, however, to know enough to know that when the Bible says, “And one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Juda, the Root of David, hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof.“, it is not saying that Jesus Christ is a shaggy-mained, four footed cat on an African plain.

It also helps if the reader understands that the Lion of the tribe of Judah is not the same lion as the one in I Peter 5:8 who “. . . as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:. . . .” That lion, of course, is Satan. Or the lion in II Timothy 4:17, “Notwithstanding the Lord stood with me, and strengthened me; that by me the preaching might be fully known, and that all the Gentiles might hear: and I was delivered out of the mouth of the lion.“ Some say that refers to wicked men, and it may, but I believe it refers to an actual lion Paul fought with in Ephesus. Evolutionists know full well that the Bible, as a superior piece of literature (and they also admit that), that the reader must distinguish between the literal language and the metaphorical. Evolutionists, and I speak of the evolution philosophers, or evolution priests (super aggressive evolutionists), are educated enough to know that such a statement as Psalm 104:2 is a metaphorical statement, and not a statement to be taken literally. The statement is one of beauty and elegance, and poetically speaks of the creation work of the Lord God. The Bible is not primarily a science book. It was not intended to be. The Bible is intended to prepare man for eternity. Yet the Bible is always accurate when it addresses matters of science, or any other discipline. The Bible is especially poetic in the book of Psalms because the psalms are hymns.

On the internet, a lady named Sarah Oleszycki stated that the Bible is allegorical. Let me read her full statement. She said, “Personally, I do not see how anyone could not believe in evolution. The bible (sic) is allegorical. How can you see the process of natural selection and not believe in evolution? Do you think new species or cross breeds just come out of thin air?” This statement raises quite a few thoughts in my mind that deserve comments, but what I wanted you to note is that she says the Bible is “allegorical.”

 It is not honest to state that the Bible is allegorical, without some qualifying words. It would probably be more accurate to say “It is ignorant” rather than to say “not honest.” It is true that there are a number of allegories in the Bible, but these are easily recognized even by people who cannot define the term “allegory.” Pilgrim’s Progress is an allegory. Some of my own books are allegories. Allegories can be very valuable and effective teaching tools. Allegories are not dishonest, and they are not misleading. Genesis 49:11 and 12 are an allegory. They make absolutely no sense if taken literally. Let me read these words from old Jacob as he lies a-dying, surrounding by his twelve sons, to whom he is giving their blessings. These words are Judah’s inheritance, or blessing. “Binding his foal unto the vine, and his ass’s colt unto the choice vine; he washed his garments in wine, and his clothes in the blood of grapes; His eyes shall be red with wine, and his teeth white with milk,“

It was from Judah’s line, of course, that Messiah came, and these words are prophecies of Messiah, veiled in allegory. The Bible is not understood by the natural mind, no matter how brilliant it might be. The Word of God is spiritually understood, as I Corinthians 2:14 reveals: “But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.” The Word of God can never be fully understood by any mortal. The Bible is the eternal Word of God, and has width and depth and height that no man can measure. It is like standing beside a great ocean with a tea cup. We glean little drinks from it – yes sometimes, we are overwhelmed by it and feel we are about to drown – but to drink it dry is beyond any man. Some of the passages that are as dark as midnight may contain some of the most glowing truths if we could only enter into them. Most diamonds are deep in the earth.

God’s Word is settled in Heaven, and I believe that there we will spend a great deal of time being fed from its rich and lively truths that we could not, or at least did not, see here in this present world. The wide blue curtain that stretches from horizon to horizon during the day was put there by the Creator’s hand. Of course, we shoot rockets through that curtain, but anyone on board that rocket would declare, “There is no curtain up here!” because that space man could not tell when he went through the blue from daylight on Earth to the darkness of space.

Verse 5 speaks again of the “. . . foundation of the earth . . . , “ and adds “. . . that it should not be removed for ever.“ The universe is running down, slowing down, wearing out, but it is sustained by the voice of the Son of God, according to Hebrews 1:3 and Colossian 2:17. Though Earth will be burnt to a crisp some day, it will be right here for ever. It is going to be made new by the Creator so that it can once again be inhabited. I am wondering if it will be the same size. Something tells me it may be a whole lot bigger. After all, the new Jerusalem will have a foundation of about fifteen hundred miles square (Revelation 21:16).

The curtain of the sky does not cut from man’s view or access, the person and work of God. When the vail, or curtain, in the temple was rent down when Jesus died, the priests went in and sewed the thing back together, and hung it back up. God opened the way to Himself, and man closed it back up. So it has been from the beginning. Man erects curtains for himself and others, and God will not tear down another curtain in this world. In our world today there is mass confusion. There is a thing on public TV about seeking God in America. What a jumble of voices! It sounds like Babel all over again.

Many times I have observed my dear wife as she hung curtains on her windows in a house we had just moved into, or after she had washed them. It was a simple thing for her to run a rod through the curtain, and then hang them up, and with a stroke of her hand stretch them out and smooth them out. The room would suddenly be more attractive and liveable.

Even more easily did the Lord Creator stretch out the heavens like a curtain to make the world more attractive and liveable. The heavens are still being stretched out. Scientists have perceived this, and credit the stretching to a “big bang” rather than to the Creator.

That great expanse above the head of every human wherever he may be on Earth makes his life much more liveable, and reminds him that there is a God in Heaven.

I love Atheists! I love Atheists because God loves them. I love the Indian princess who wears a golden necklace, rings and bracelets, and lives sumptuously in a palace. I love the foul, dirty African miner who digs that gold out of the earth a grain at a time, and lives in a primitive hut. One of these people is no better than the other, should have no more rights than the other. What their physical bodies are, and their station in life are, are not the most important elements of their being.          scale

These people, and Atheists, too, are souls that God created when the egg and sperm came together at conception that started the gestation that produced their bodies. It is the soul that is important because God created it for a purpose. That purpose is to love God, and worship Him. A soul is an eternal thing. Specially created by God, the soul is everlasting. The soul has great value. Jesus said it is worth more than the world. What would a man give in exchange for his soul, the Creator asked. Here are the very words of Jesus, “For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?” (Matthew 16:26).

If a man declares there is no God, that must mean that he is denying he has a soul. I don’t know an Atheist – never met one. I don’t know what they think about a soul. It seems to me, however, that if a person knew what the soul is, and that he has one, that he would think differently about eternal matters. As I read “The Humanist Manifesto” I found that humanists (Atheists) do not believe in anything spiritual, and that would include the soul. “Modern science discredits such historic concepts as the ‘ghost in the machine’ and the ‘separable soul.’ ” (Humanist Manifestos I and II” pg. 16 – 17) So what? Modern science also discredits the Second Law of Thermodynamics when it declares evolution to be a fact. I would be interested to know how modern science discredits the soul. Isn’t psychology and psychiatry both studies of the psyche – the soul? What is a man without a soul? He cannot be an animal because we believe animals also have souls. The soul is our window to the world around us; just as the spirit is our window to God, and truth.

I find myself with something in common with humanists; they detest religions and dogmas, and so do I. Unfortunately, they include me in this group while I would have to be dragged kicking and screaming into a religion or dogma. I base my faith upon what God has provided for us – the Bible. And when they talk about man being inhibited by religion, I would agree that religion inhibits an individual, but I must object strenuously when I am included, because my faith in the Lord Jesus Christ has given me a sense of wholeness and self-worth, and hope.  I don’t think humanists are qualified to discuss faith because they do not understand God and faith in Him alone. I am convinced that God rescued me from a very bad life by coming alongside to help me when I was just a lad.

I profess to love Atheists, but what does this love motivate me to do to demonstrate my love. Loving them doesn’t mean I like them – I might or I might not, depending… “How do I love thee, Let me count the ways” says the poet: (1) at 84, when most folks are either dead or snoozing, I am writing an essay that takes me most of the day which I hope will help somebody to see the light of God’s person; (2) I belong to a church that spends much money helping people who need help, physically as well as spiritually. A little of that money is my gift; (3) I endeavor to encourage other folks to be good citizens of Earth and Heaven; (4) I offer to give anything I have to anyone who wants it – speaking of what knowledge I possess. This includes the books I have written and published. Every time I eat, I ask God to bless people who have nothing, and persecuted Saints all over the world. I have no idea how God could bless (give good things) to these people, but God will answer my prayer according to His will. I don’t answer the prayers, I just make them. My wife and I help people in need when we have opportunity.

I have been listening to this web page < http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T-o7ArSeSOY> I was struck by the truth that nearly everything the man said could apply to evolution scientists. He uses language that reveals a contempt for creation scientists and folks like me. Other blogs use derogatory terms in referring to creation scientists. The main subject of the stuff I’ve been reading is carbon 14 in diamonds.

Both Creation and Evolution are based on books: Creation is based on the Bible; Evolution is based on The Origin of the Species by Natural Selection: or the Preservation of Favored Races in the Struggle for Life. Both theories deal with the origin of the earth and the life upon it. Both theories begin with preconceptions which probably can never be proven by empirical science. The length of the age of the earth is the main point of contention. Evolution is a religion, so says “Marjorie Greene, a leading philosopher of science and professor at the University of California, Davis, states that ‘It is a religion of science that Darwinism chiefly held, and holds min’s minds. … The modified but still characteristically Darwinian theory has itself become an orthodoxy, preached by its adherents with religious fervor, and doubted, they feel, only by a few muddlers, imperfect in scientific faith.’ ”  (Backmatter of Creation Scientists Answer Their Critics by Duane Gish, available from ICR at www.icr.org/store, or 1 800 628 7640).

I am a creationist because people who believe a book believed to be written by the God who demands honesty from humanity are more likely to tell the truth than people who believe a book written by a known liar and hater of God (refer to The Dark Side of Charles Darwin: a Critical Analysis of an Icon of Science, by Jerry Bergman (2011), and published by Master Books $13.99 (www.masterbooks.net). (This is the most heavily documented book I think I have ever read.) The weight of evidence from science is enough to convince anyone that the Bible has the right account of the beginning. Much of the evidence is provided by evolutionists, because they have access to the federal treasury, and creationists do not. Several scholarly men have studied the history in the Bible to determine how long ago the earth was created, including Sir Isaac Newton, and all have concluded that the earth is about 6,000 years old.

This has been accepted as truth by Saints for many years. Dr. Henry Morris wrote that Earth might by older by four thousand years. However, the discovery of carbon 14 in diamonds is going to force us to extend the time of Creation back several thousand years, I believe. In the talky blog (address given above) the man admits that new technology finds more Carbon 14 than the old methods, but yet, he can go only back 100,000 years. That leaves evolution with the problem of finding another 4,559,900,000 years if Earth is 4,560,000,000 years old. Oh! My aching back! “In the first edition of On the Origin of the Species (1859), Darwin had estimated that the erosion of the Sussex Weald must have taken 300 million years. He made the calculation based on how long it must have taken the Earth to cool down to its present temperature, given a starting point of 2,000^o C. Kelvin’s result was based on the idea that the near-surface geothermal gradient reflects the conductive cooling of the solid Earth.”

It was soon discovered that 300 million years would not be long enough for one creature to turn into another, so the earth began to age so that today it has aged another 3,7000,000,000 years. Talk about living in the fast lane! Burning the candle at both ends! If the Geologic Column had lengthened to keep up with the time element, it would have to be broken into pieces to get it into the professor’s class room. What will Earth look like in another 4,000,000,000 years. How long is a billion? Don’t ask me, I’m only 84 – I think. According to Lord Kelvin’s estimates the earth someday will be a ball of ice. Don’t worry, if evolutionists discover that creatures can’t change from one sort to another, they will conveniently find another “scientific fact” to add another billion years to the age of the earth.

My heart goes out to Evolutionists and Atheists having to be saddled with all these problems. Think of what a problem polystrate trees are. And the oldest indicators of Earth’s age we know of are the influx of magma from the mantle to form crust, and the deceleration of Earth by tidal friction. These register an age of only about 500,000,000 years, and that is less than ten percent of what they need to hit 4,560.000,000 years. But keep working at it, and you’ll find it, if you don’t see the light first.

Believe me, I still love Atheists. My heart aches for people who are happy in the dark. Most of them are fine, honorable people outside of evolution. But probably my affection for them only makes them more hostile. I don’t know what sort of evidence would arrest their attention, and help them see over their preconceptions. But they, like me, I’m sure, are not about to give up those precious preconceptions.

But my love for Atheists pales into insignificance when we consider God’s love for all of us. Shunning God, and rejecting His gracious love is such an offense and crime that God will not overlook it – not in a billion years. Believe it or not.  

The point of the “Hate” essay is that I hate atheism, not Atheists, just as I hate Islam, not Muslims. I hate these systems because they are detrimental to humans, both in this world and the world to come – especially in the world to come. Atheists seem to be an intelligent and innocuous group; until they begin to talk against the existence of God.  It is well known what God thinks of Atheists. Atheists don’t believe in God, they say, but God believes in them. He sacrificed His Son for their salvation.

          Atheists are the personification of unbelief, and unbelief in the worst of all sins. It doesn’t matter how good a person is in this world, his goodness can never equal the death of Jesus on the cross. Do good men need salvation? Are good men lost? Here’s what God said about Noah in Genesis 6: “These [are] the generations of Noah: Noah was a just man [and] perfect in his generations, [and] Noah walked with God.” God trusted Noah with the salvation of the entire human race by instructing him to build the first great construction project – the Ark. After the Flood when Noah and his family got off the Ark, he offered a burnt offering. The perfect man offered a sacrifice. The perfect man recognizes the sovereignty of God, and His lordship. The perfect man recognizes the love of God for him, and God’s provisions for him. God’s love ought to cause any rational person to love Him, believe in Him. I have said many times that if a man loved his soul as much as God loves it, he would give it to God.

The ideal life would be to born to a devout married man and woman. At an early age, the child would have learned about the love and sacrifice of God for him, and accepted Christ Jesus as his Lord and Saviour. The next most ideal way to be saved is for a good, blameless man to read the Bible, or hear a teacher teach the Bible, and realize that God loves him, even though he is just a man. He acknowledges the truth of the Bible and is born again. It is not sin that condemns a man, but his denial of God and His love and grace. No sin is too great for God to forgive, except the sin of unbelief. Unbelief is the only thing God will not forgive.

In a sense, every person who denies Jesus Christ is an atheist since Jesus Christ is God. I wish my fingers were capable of typing words that could convince or persuade men. The joy I have known by the presence of the Lord in my life is so salubrious I would share it with everybody if I could. If I did not know the Lord Jesus as well as I do, the fatuousness and foolishness of my life would break me with remorse. The remorse is bad enough, but with Jesus, I can survive.   

At least, some people are reading my posts, and I pray God will help me to write things that will cause somebody to stop and think.

With old scratchy chalk and an old chalkboard, physicists can do marvelous things. From William Gilbert  and Galileo Galilei  to K. Eric Drexler, Stephen Wolfram, and Albert Einstein these homely, unkempt men made unintelligible scrawls on chalk boards that no man in his right mind could make sense of, and at last give humanity quantum mechanics and the atomic bomb. Who can argue their theories when their theories explode with such a big bang (pun, you know). Incidentally, the theory of evolution was the biggest explosion of all – it destroyed a good society.

 When I was a young man back in the Dark Ages, I worked at Y-12 in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. That’s where the stuff for the atomic bomb was manufactured. An old guard told me that at the first when there were many scientists there that sometimes a scientist would call for a car in the middle of the night to bring him to the plant. By the time they got to the plant the scientist would have often forgotten where he was, and forgotten what he wanted to come for. They had to take him back home to bed, or maybe he remembered what he wanted, and was returned to the plant. I heard about a professor at a college who was a favorite of his students. One night some of them jacked up his car, and put it on blocks. The next morning the professor came out; got in his car, and drove to the college. He got out and went into his house, and wondered why in blazes he was home in the middle of the morning. I guess you’ve heard that before. One track minds can be a disadvantage.

I have been reading an article out of the Tampa Bay Online by Michael Gerson in a column distributed by the Washington Post Writers Group. http://www2.tbo.com/news/opinion/2011/dec/16/meopino1-the-god-particle-the-case-for-wonder-in-t-ar-335241/   

According to Mr. Gerson “Modern physics can explain just about everything except why anything has mass” (or gravity). “Mass” means weight, more or less.. Mass is caused by the number of particles in an atom, or how many atoms there are in an element.

Let’s starts over. The particle in question (I will call it the “soul particle” since soul is what gives life to living things) was found by mathematics about forty years ago, but its existence hasn’t been confirmed. In other words, it’s still just a theory after about forty-five years of investigation.  It’s real name is the Higg’s boson. Ordinary people use an equal symbol to designate an equality. For example 5 + 5 = 10. Suppose we wrote the equation like this        5 + ? = 10. We still have an equation, but one of the factors is unknown. We know there is a factor there because 5 does not equal 10. The equations of physicists don’t look like that. In their simplest form, they look like this:   . The more complicated equations can consist of hundreds of “jots and titles” written on chalk boards. How did Einstein know his equation was actually equal? He didn’t. It’s still  a theory, but it destroyed two Japanese cities at the end of WW II thanks to Harry Truman and Paul Tibbets. When we supply the missing factor (5) in our formula (equation), we still do not know if it is right. We have only a theory. We must set out to prove our equation is an equation:  5 + 5 = 10. The simplest, most efficient, cost effective way I know to prove our theory is to count our fingers and thumbs.

To find the soul particle somebody is spending 6 billion euros  (1 dollar = 1.318499 euros on 12 17 11) to build the largest machine ever built. The Large Hadron Collider accelerates particles to high speed, and smashes them together. Then they look through the rubble to find the soul particle. But how will they know it when they find it? Good question. Truth is, they will never “see” it, so I have no idea how they will find it or identify it.Gerson writes: “In 1928, theoretical physicist Paul Dirac combined the mathematical formulas for relativity and quantum mechanics into a single equation and predicted the existence of antimatter.” A physicist, Ard Louis, teaching at the University of Oxford, tried to falsify Dirac’s equation, but finally gave up. Gerson quotes Louis, “When I finally gave up and saw that there was no way around Dirac’s result, it gave me goose bumps. I remember thinking that even if I never used my years of physics training again, it would have been worth it just to see something so spectacularly beautiful.”      

That gives me goose bumps, but the bumps go away very quickly. I quote Mr. Gerson once more: “The wild improbability of a universe that allows us to be aware of it seems to demand some explanation. This does not require theism.” Amazing! Man can come so close to the great Creator of the universe, and dismiss Him as “theism.” Mr. Gerson speaks of “the laws of the universe,” but fails to recognize the Law Giver and Judge. He speaks of “a glorious improbability,” but all these laws are the work of a glorious Actuality. Science is a grand voyage of a sea of knowledge, but its required materialism should not prevent a scientist from recognizing and honoring the Creator of everything he discovers. A man can study the physical universe, and recognize Him who is the Creator of it all. In fact, a man of integrity is compelled by his integrity to give credit where credit is due. It would be a miracle if I could understand science, but science can explain that miracle. Scientific equations can be written with miracle in them, for example: dead body + miracle = life, or water + miracle = wine. My grossly unscientific thoughts might subject me to much scoffing, but they can’t be denied. Higgs could have put “miracle” in the place of the missing soul particle, and it would have been exactly correct.

 Physics is “The science of matter and energy and of interactions between the two.”   I challenge the following statement as science, “…some other force that seized the massless particles produced by the Big Bang and sucked them into physicality.” The statement is a statement of preconceptions, not science, and it is precisely here that  physics ultimately fails as do all other evolution-based sciences. When a scientist subjects his conclusions to his preconceptions, he disqualifies himself as a scientist. Evolution is the chief preconception. When I taught sixth grade science, the books taught that the definition of matter is “it has weight and takes up space,” so I was surprised to see the term “massless particles.” While mass and weight are not exactly the same thing, it is difficult for me to understand the difference. It is easier for me to understand Genesis 1:1 – 5:

“In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness [was] upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.  And God saw the light, that [it was] good: and God divided the light from the darkness.”

 Psalm 33:9  “For he spake, and it was [done]; he commanded, and it stood fast.”

Matter was created when “the glorious Improbability” decided it was time to create it. God spoke and created matter. Evidently, these atoms (matter) were not in motion when God spoke them into existence with the power of His words. Neither was there light (energy). This great stock pile of atoms (earth) must have been much colder than  -459.67 °F. Then in verse three He commanded the light to appear, and the particles of the atoms began to spin around their nuclei. I read somewhere that the particles of an atom revolve around the nucleus about 7 billion times per second. This happened on the first day of Creation. Creation occurred no more than about ten thousand years ago. Whether or not there is a particle that gave mass to all the other particles is yet to be determined. Ard Louis believes there must be. He said the idea was “spectacularly beautiful,” and that is certainly the way we can refer to all the works of God, even if Mr. Louis didn’t mean exactly that.

In fact, the most spectacularly beautiful sight ever seen was that bloody horror on the brow of Calvary when God’s Son hung there in agony and shame. When I imagine that scene I see all the aversion and antipathy of my wicked life. That horrible sight is also beautiful because it is there in that condition that God’s Lamb paid in full my sin debt. How much more beautiful can anything be than that thing that saves your life? I am glad I know more about Jesus than I know about physics, though I yearn to know more about both. But I don’t need to know about “massless particles,” or how the earth was created, or how water was turned to wine, or how the dead were raised to life to go to Heaven. In the immortal words of Augustus M. Toplady, “In my hand no price I bring, simply to thy cross I cling.”, I will joyfully stand in the Creator’s presence someday soon, and give Him finally my blood-washed soul, and I hope, my crown.

I hope you, too, have the blessed hope of the resurrection. There’s nothing better in this life than to know that you are loved by our Creator. In every condition of life, He is a Companion. Personally, I suffer such remorse when I think of the sins and failures of my past, and their consequences, that I could not bear the sorrow if I did not have the assurance of God’s forgiving love. Of course, if you have no cause for sorrow in your life, I rejoice with you. If my life were blameless, I would have even greater reason to thank God and worship Him than I do now, because I would recognize (I hope) that He has given me the character and integrity to live blamelessly.  

I don’t understand the idea of a “massless particle,” but I do understand the grace of God.

“There are three basic tests by which the two theories (Creation and Evolution, ed.) can be compared – the scientific test, the ‘fruit test,’ and the biblical test.

Belief in primeval supernatural creation, on the other hand, was the motivating conviction of practically all the founding fathers of modern science, of the American nation, and of the original education system of this country. All the basic doctrines of Christianity are founded on the truth pf primeval special creation. Creationism certainly scores much higher than evolutionism on the fruit test.

“Finally, there is not a hint anywhere in Scripture of evolution or the long ages necessary for evolution. On the other hand, the very first chapter of the Bible teaches the special creation of the space/mass/time universe and everything in it. This teaching is emphasized all through the Bible. See my book, Biblical Creationism,² for a discussion of every biblical verse dealing with origins and earth history. There is an abundance of documentation for these conclusions in the three volume Modern Creation Trilogy³ (‘Science and Creation,’‘Scripture and Creation,’‘Society and Creation’) and also in many other books published or distributed by ICR and numerous other publishers. The evidence for the truth of creation and the falsity of evolution truly is overwhelming.”

Creation and Evolution are both theories held by people with preconceptions. Neither theory can rise above the faith stage because neither can be proved by empirical science. Empirical science requires observation, and no one has observed the creation for more than a hundred years or so. The preconceptions are based on two sources. Evolution is based on The Origin of the Species by Natural Selection: or the Preservation of Favoured Races in the Struggle for Life published by John Murray on November 24, 1859 in England.

Mr. Darwin’s motivation for writing this book was not for scientific advancement, but for the destruction of theism which he hated (refer to The Dark Side of Charles Darwin by Jerry Bergman, Master Books, 2011).

Creation is based on the Bible, and has been believed by Creationists for 6,000 years. The Bible was written by forty or more writers who claimed divine inspiration over a period of 1600 years. The Bible has been recognized by millions of people as the Word of God for four thousand years. The Bible in its final form was given to us 400 years ago by divine influence, and has been the motivation for every good thing that has happened to the human race since that time.

If Evolution is science, so is Creation. If the Scope’s Trial were held today, Creationists would offer overwhelming extra-biblical scientific evidence against Evolution. Just as in 1925 people who believe the Bible and Creation are mocked for their “ignorance.” However, when Evolution scientists faced Creation scientists thirty years ago in debates on college campuses, they soon learned that mocking Creation scientists could not win debates. Creationists came to the debates prepared to offer scientific, indisputable evidence to support Creation theory. Evolutionists soon stopped debating Creationists because they could not offer real evidence for Evolution except myths and fantastic tales.

In my own limited experience, I went to a church near Indiana University to give Creation lectures. The pastor approached the science department of the university and challenged them to debate me. In the pastor’s own words, “They ran for the hills.”

Like Islam, Evolution cannot stand the light of truth. Therefore, it must exclude other faiths, opinions, and philosophies. With the power of the NEA and the Department of Education behind them, as well as the History channels, Evolutionists have succeeded in excluding evidence for Creation.

The Second Law of Thermodynamic and the laws of entropy demand that things fall apart eventually; so we are not surprised that the world will get no better until the Saviour returns, no matter how hard we try to improve it. Our hope is that some evolutionists will recognize the light of truth; eschew their false preconceptions, and make arrangements meet their end safely and joyfully.

Where can I turn to learn if I am deceived? Shall I go to Wikepedia on the internet? I love Wikepedia and help support it, but I can’t rely completely on Wikepedia. Could I discover truth if I search school text books from kindergarten to university? All of these, in spite of their wealth of truth, are only the works of other men, and may contain their preconceptions. Should I turn to the most intellectual men who ever lived – Einstein or Newton? They are just men like me. I know that because they died. Should I look to the great philosophers like Socrates, Euclid, or Plato? If I read what they wrote, I’d have to read what somebody interpreted, so I’d have to trust the interpreter more than them. Help!

I, like all normal humans, was born with a natural preconception that a supreme being exists. This supreme being is not a human. I can rely on the truth of what I stated because every civilization in every age worshiped some sort of god: stone statues, fence posts, animals, you name it; men have worshiped it. The truth that all civilizations worshiped a divine being of some sort makes it reasonable to believe that the fool has said in his heart there is no God. Atheism is learned behavior, and can be unlearned. Darwin chose to be an Evolutionist because he could not bear the thought that if Christianity be true, my father, my grandfather, and almost all my friends are eternally lost, and this is a damnable doctrine.

Where do preconceptions come from? The growing-up environment of every child is different somehow. The human learns certain likes and dislikes. Some things make humans feel good about themselves and the world around them. All of us tend to move toward those things that make us feel the most secure and pleasant. All of our knowledge comes from outside ourselves – at least all of those things that matter most. Knowledge that comes to us is sorted out into piles labeled “I like” and “I don’t like.” At some point in life the thought of God occurs to us, and we place the thought in one pile or the other.

Somewhere along the line most of us decide to be Creationists or Evolutionists. This is a purely an arbitrary decision, based solely upon what makes us comfortable. There is the matter of the weight of evidence. The weight of evidence can never prove anything, but it can provide enough rationale to make a decision; however, poorly formed the decision may be. We are certain we have not been deceived, or have formed a preconceived idea. Since neither faith can be proven by empirical science, how can I know I have come down on the right side? Should I just go with the flow, and believe what most people believe, or is it possible that the few who believe the other way right? Oh, my! What a dilemma! And the though that I might have to live fore eternity with my decision doesn’t help me feel better. But if I come down on the side of Evolution, the thought of eternity is what I wanted to rid myself of.

Suppose the Geological Time Scale is wrong, or that pesky dinosaur blood cell is only a few thousand years old? After all, there is no real hard, test tube type proof that the Big Bang really happened. In fact, everything we know about Creationism and Evolution are only things we believe. Creationists will tell you right off that at the foundation we only believe. We can’t claim that anything is a fact. Charles Darwin and his disciples set out to prove Genesis wrong, and thereby destroy the Creationist’s faith in God, and for millions of people, he succeeded. Are Creationists deceived, or are Evolutionists deceived? Who is laboring under the worst preconception? Both can’t be right. Somebody has got to be deceived. And everybody said, “It ain’t me.”

Who has the better basis for what they believe. Repeat: There is no test tube evidence for either. We must rely on the weight of evidence – remember? Who contributes the most benefit to life in general: Creationists or Evolutionists? Somebody just stole a box of glassware off our carport. We live in a lower middle class neighborhood on a dead end street. People who live down the street regularly throw trash into our yard as they pass. There are members of our church who live down that street. While I suspect there are members of our church who would do things like that, I would think it would be more likely that people who believe we are just animals who do bad things like that. I don’t have money to do a study, or have access to a study to establish the truth of my belief, but I am sure there is more crime committed by people who don’t believe in Creation or God than there are who believe in Creation.

In the foreword of Dr. Duane Gish’s book, Creation Scientists Answer Their Critics  (Available from ICR at www.icr.org/store or 800 628 7640), Dr. Henry M. Morris writes, “Since he joined ICR in 1971 he has participated in almost 300 debates, usually held on university campuses and opposing faculty evolutionary scientists, or – once in a while – an evolutionary philosopher or even an evolutionary theologian. And (at least in our judgment and that of most in the audiences) he always wins!

“… His opponents cannot produce scientific evidence for evolution for the simple reason that there isn’t any!”

To the evolutionist science is a dogma. A dogma is something that is right because it is declared to be right. For example, evolution declares that the earth is 4.54 years. This is based on radio metric dating. Radio metric dating is not reliable. Using Darwin’s example, I would say, “That is a damnable dogma.”

There is an outside, very remote possibility that I am deceived. I am astute enough to know that, and honest enough to admit it, but the penalty for deception I might have because of Creation could not be compared with the person who is deceived by Evolution, the religion of atheism. The Bible commands us to examine ourselves. This examination should be done objectively and deliberately. The tests of our faith must be tested by outside factors, not something we conjure up ourselves. The examination must be done by a non-committed individual of knowledge source. Weigh the evidence carefully.

          Job was exceedingly wealthy; having vast herds of animals and acres of farmland. He was a prominent man; being respected by all who knew him. He had a large household, with servants and slaves for every task. He was a man of great intelligence. He knew much about the Lord God Creator because he worshiped Him appropriately; offering burnt offerings regularly for his children and himself. Note his learned words in Job 12: 7 – 10:

         “But ask now the beasts, and they shall teach thee; and the fowls of the air, and they shall tell thee: Or speak to the earth, and it shall teach thee: and the fishes of the sea shall declare unto thee. Who knoweth not in all these that the hand of the LORD hath wrought this? In whose hand [is] the soul of every living thing, and the breath of all mankind.”Job knew why the fool hath said in his heart, there is no God (Psalm 14:1). The reason is because man’s brain tells him there is a Creator because the creatures, and even the earth, tell him there is a God Creator. If man is going to deny the existence of God; he must turn from the knowledge in his brain, put there by the creation, and depend on his silly, emotional heart to tell him what to believe.

         Take note of these startling words from Isaiah, chapter one and verse 3:

        “The ox knoweth his owner, and the ass his master’s crib: [but] Israel doth not know, my people doth not consider.”

           Oxen and asses are among the dumbest animals. Somebody somewhere may have trained them, but I have never seen or heard of it. They can only pull, or carry burdens. Yet these pitiful creatures know their master, and his crib; something the fool evidently does not know. The fool doesn’t know his master’s crib. In fact, he will strongly deny that he has a master. It is possible that a master can provide great security. The master the fool serves doesn’t have a crib, for a crib is a place of rest, food, and safety. Satan has no place of rest, food, and safety – only a swirl of chaos 7/24. Satan has laboratories where science is carried on without observation, without experimentation, without repetition, and without peer examination. Satan’s dogma is mythological deception that is a strange sound in an age of scientific advancement and learning.           

         But I have drifted from my thought. Job would have been surprised indeed to hear a man like Isaac Asimov, one of the most brilliant fools of the twentieth century, give his “eternity-view.” Dr. Asimov is known to every fool in the world as a man who was their spokesman. Dr. Asimov’s words are chiseled into the walls of halls of learning. His books adorn every library shelf in the world waiting to corrupt the mind of young and old. A Russian Jew, Dr. Asimov rejected the existence of the God Whom his nation worshiped for thousands of years. Dr. Asimov proves that intellect is not necessary for one to have faith in God – in fact, it is a hindrance. Common sense is of more value.

          On these pages I have quoted Dr. Asimov before, but it is appropriate to quote him again now in light of Job’s and David’s statements. Dr. Isaac Asimov who died in 1992 at age 72 left these words for mankind to meditate upon:

          “I am an atheist, out and out. It took a long time to say it. I’ve been an atheist for years and years, but somehow I felt it was intellectually unrespectable to say one was an atheist, because it assumed knowledge that one didn’t have. Somehow it was better to say one was a humanist or an agnostic. I finally decided that I’m a creature of emotion as well as of reason. Emotionally I am an atheist. I don’t have the evidence to prove that God doesn’t exist, but I so strongly suspect he doesn’t that I don’t want to waste my time.” (Isaac Asimov, “Isaac Asimov’s Science Fiction Magazine”, January, 1992)

           Job knew there existed a Creator God because the environment could have only come into existence at the beck and call of a Creator. No one has ever given a satisfactory answer to “where did life come from?” What perpetuates life? Until that basic question is answered, all the evolution talk in the world is just mythology. Job’s faith was the result of his observing brain ruling his unstable emotions. Instead of an irrational emotional unbelief, Job enjoyed the tranquility of knowing his “Redeemer liveth.” Faith is based upon knowledge. Faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God. Faith is reinforced by the complexity and order of nature, and the absolute certainty of the Bible. Ultimately God gives us our faith.  Job observed the wonders that God had wrought, and concluded that only a Creator could be responsible.  

          It seems that Dr. Asimov would have been astute enough to know what he was saying when he said he was emotionally an atheist. He had written a commentary of the Old Testament where it is written by David, “The fool hath said in his heart, there is no God. …” He was saying exactly what God had said in that verse. His foolishness is seen when you consider his reliance on his emotions (heart) rather than his brain. There must have been some sort of dysfunction in his brain. Perhaps it is a spiritual insanity that causes people to reject factual brain knowledge and rely on emotional heart feeling. Listen to this interesting statement from the Bible, II Timothy 1:7:

          “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.”

           Now if I am not mistaken, if God must give us a sound mind, then we evidently do not have one before He gives it. Job had a sound mind. God gave Satan permission to do anything he could to Job to force him to curse God to his face. Through extreme adversity and torment, Job did not curse God. He remained steady in his faith though he lingered on the brink of death and total loss. Job did not worship God just because God enriched him, as Satan believed. Job worshiped God because of Who God is, and what He is. God was forced to become a bloody God because His people lived in a wicked world, and God had to protect them.

          Please don’t shrug my words off as no more than my religious belief. I do not have any religious beliefs. What I believe is truthful history, faithfully recorded long ago when men were wiser. I don’t claim any infallibility in reasoning and conclusions, but I insist that the gist of what I am writing is based on eternal truth. I hate no man. All men’s souls are precious to me because they are precious to God. I love and respect my fellow man. I feel obligated to tell him the truth.  

The Alabaster Box recalls for us that wonderful scene recorded in Matthew (26), Mark, and Luke where a woman anointed Jesus with precious ointment. Her action elicited some strong thoughts from both disciples and sinners who were offended by her act. What is written on this site may offend both Saints and sinners. Jesus said her act would be told all over the world. This blog will go all over the world. The perfume must have blessed all that were in the house with a pleasant aroma. My hope is that this blog, a source of truth, will likewise bless all that read it.
